Photos do not do this home and property justice! We had a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful time at Sole Mate. We had lots of activities planned for our trip that fell by the wayside, simply due to the fact that we didn’t want to leave the deck right on the water. Every room has a spectacular view of the bay. It is extremely evident that Kit has a lot of pride and respect for this special place. It is well maintained, clean, and cared for. Our dogs enjoyed the home as well. I feel so lucky that she shares this property with those of us looking for a peaceful retreat. It is not a matter of if we will be back, but when.

This place can't be beat! Close to everything, yet private and serene. You could never leave the property, just enjoy the otters and birds and still be in total bliss. Kit communicates flawlessly, the place is so clean and decorated so sharply..... this experience can't be measured with a 5 star system. It's so far beyond.

The boathouse is right on the water. Two otters played on the water when we arrived and hung out the first night. We got to see sting rays, baby crabs and fish on this visit. This was my second time visiting this place. Can’t wait to come back. The house is spotless, clean with a fireplace outside. They have a bbq on the deck, & blankets so that you can relax and look out on the bay to watch the sunset. So peaceful, private and romantic.

Kit’s place is a pure gem! Such a beautiful home! :-) We loved all the spaces and my son loved seeing the sea otters and jellyfish from the pier back area! Peaceful and quiet space too. Highly recommend this beautiful place for a visit to Morro bay!

Our family had a memorable time at Kit's home. The home is perfectly located on the water with tons of outdoor seating and windows to enjoy the sea otters floating by for a nap, breakfast and dinner. We walked to town for dinner one night and walked to Morro rock during the day.

The home is immaculate and Kit was hyper responsive to any requests. She graciously allowed us an earlier check in and provided recommendations for places around the area. Thank you, Kit for being a great host!

I had read other reviews before booking, one of which said not to hesitate about booking this property. I wholeheartedly concur! This was a really wonderful little oasis on the bay with multiple daily visits right outside the door from marine animals and seabirds. The exterior and interior of the property have so many delightful touches to really make your stay relaxing. We loved it!
